Gaudenzia Staff Training Opportunities
Gaudenzia believes that in order to build a strong workforce, it is important to invest in our employees. One of the ways we do this is through staff-exclusive training opportunities: Project Entry, Peer Leadership, and Relias Learning.
The Peer Leadership Program is a twelve month intensive training program, designed to prepare its participants with the knowledge, skills and resources to become entry level House Managers for Gaudenzia. Participants are requires to attend training three days a week, for eighteen weeks, and complete a six week internship at an assigned Gaudenzia program. Upon successful completion of the Peer Leadership Program, participants will be eligible to sit for the Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) examination, and will meet the requirements to enter the six month, on-the-job, House Manager training program. The long term goal is to provide successful participants entry level positions, with a job path for future advancement.
As the program evolves, Gaudenzia staff will continually monitor the program to ensure the responsiveness to the focus of the agency's needs and the maintenance of high level training and education considerations. The Peer Leadership Program will ensure that there will be a continually evolving workforce that meets the ever changing demands of the fields of substance use, mental health, and criminal justice services.
Gaudenzia Project Entry: A ten week skills development program designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of current House Managers. The program has successfully trained twelve cohorts across the organization, six in the Eastern Region, two in the Central Region, two in the Chesapeake Region and two in Erie. Upon successful completion trainees are eligible to sit for the (PCB) Certified Recovery Specialist Examination and Servsafe Certification.
Upon successful completion of the Project Entry and Peer Leadership Programs we continue to work closely with the trainees to provide the mentoring and referrals sources necessary for entrance into higher education institutions.
The Relias Learning Program offers over 900 online courses to approximately 300 users throughout the entire organization. We currently rotate the 300 slots and facilitate rollouts in each region on a quarterly basis to include management, current staff and all new employees.
